Hi,
I have inherited 20 Optiplex 7460 AIO workstations. However, these had been previously AMT configured but the bad part is nobody knows the passwords. It's not the default admin password. How can you reset the MEBx back to default if you can't get in it?

Hello SCCM_MKE_Admin,
The only way to change the default MEBx password across an enterprise (assuming all under the same domain) would be a remote configuration of AMT. Based on the description, I do not know whether or not you have already deployed AMT, so I'm providing the user guide for further details:
The SCS User Guide can be accessed at this link:
https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/software/Intel_SCS_User_Guide.pdf
Information on certificates needed for remote configuration can be accessed at this link:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/remote-support/intel-vpro-certificates.html
Intel recommends the following best security practices. Please find the document at this link:
Remote configuration is the only way to change the MEBx password for an enterprise, there are two other methods but require physical access to the systems, which would be inefficient in the case of an enterprise environment. Based on what I know so far, it sounds like you might be able to benefit from deploying AMT.

Hello SCCM_MKE_Admin,
I was reviewing the scenario and I like to suggest you to remove the CMOS battery or perform an NVRAM-Clear to reset AMT on these desktops.
Please let me know if the step helps you to reset the password.
