Hearing some exciting things coming out of MMS 2008 regarding vPRO / AMT and SCCM 2007 SP1. Microsoft mentioned in one of their presentations that we would be well served to make sure our AMT Bios was up to at least 3.2 for the best effect. The machines we've got from HP are all at 3.0.1 currently. What kind of scenarios are available to upgrade our BIOS to the 3.2 level?

Most OEMs offer a mechanism to update your BIOS from within in Windows. The most practical approach would be to determine the Windows silent install method for the BIOS upgrade and use the Software Distribution capability within SCCM or SMS to deploy the BIOS update to the vPro Client and execute it remotely.

Just a quick one ....
If I have a Weybridge system running on AMT ver 3.0 (DASH 1.0) , can ugrade the BIOS/ME to run DASH ver 1.1 , namely AMT ver 3.2.1 ?
The current Weybridge BIOS upgrades for the JO and MP WEybridge boards only makes provision for upgrading BIOS to ver 3.2.0.
thanx ....

Upgrading the 3.x firmware to 3.2.1 does make necessarily make it dash 1.1 compliant.
