Hello,

currently i use a ASUS P6T which has also the X58 chipset.

While researching about VT-d usage with XEN i found out that ASUS is too incompetent to deliver a functional BIOS.

Now I am faced with the decision which mainboard I should buy.

The question is which delivers actually working VT-d support.

Currently I tend to the DX58OG.

I would appreciate substantiate http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&p=HpZR0yYAA&search=substantiated&trestr=0x8004 d information on this matter.

thanks http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&p=Ci4HO3kMAA&search=in&trestr=0x8004 http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&p=Ci4HO3kMAA&search=advance&trestr=0x8004 in advance

Hi,

I confirm the Intel(R) Desktop Board DX58OG is not among the boards that feature/support Intel(R) Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O [Intel(R) VT-d]; see the following URL for more details:

this cant be true.. there is no board which supports the 1366 socket?

and why does this sheet state that the X58 chipset supports VT-d?

I confirm the .pdf document you refer to is for the chipset. VT-d is a feature of the chipset, not the board; thus, while the chipset supports it, the board does not.

the DX58OG is now listed as compatible.

Was this through a recent bios update?
