Hello,
I need to deploy VPro (KVM Console) using Intel EMA.
I've been trying to find a video tutorial without success.
I was wondering is there a video tutorial available?
If not, can you share what newbie resources are available?
Thank you.

Hello Miguel,
The second install succeeded. Yay!
I'll have a look at configuring EMA later.
Some feedback on the resources.
Very grateful for your assistance.
In terms of the videos etc., I used the videos that you shared here
Overall they're quite good. Concise and informative.
However, there are a couple of issues.
The installation demo is not current (it talks about obsolete versions of Windows and Windows Server). Ideally, the video should be updated.
If not, there should be some prominent notes clarifying the current software platforms supported and noting the database requirements (see next).
My one criticism of the installation demo, is that the database requirements are not properly or clearly explained during the demo. I wasted time in the setup because of this.
The database part of the installation video should say that you need to specify an accessible SQL Server installation (either local or remote) and that the EMA installer will create the database on the nominated SQL Server host (the fact that the EMA Installer would create the database was not clear to me).
Thanks again for your help.

Hello Miguel,
I have already deleted the database that I created in SQL Server, but the EMA installer is still failing with the errors that I have shared.
We either need to nuke the existing install before I can attempt a re-install following the instructions in the PDF or I need some way to tell the installer to re-install regardless of errors at startup.

Hello, VeeDub,
I am going to replicate the scenario, please allow me some time. Usually, reinstallation is allowed, the previous software should not block the new installation.

Hello, VeeDub,
After finishing the lab test, my suggestion is below:
Open the Microsoft Services app on your server, look for Intel® EMA Platform, and review who owns the service (Local System or any other), it needs to match the SQL services. Otherwise, during the uninstallation, EMA is not able to access the database and erase its components.
There are more details in section 2.5 Uninstalling
I reviewed the shared pictures; the Existing_Intel_EMA_version_detected picture is correct, it isn’t an error, it is included in the installation guide section 2.3 Performing an update installation using the setup wizard
I look forward to your outcome.
Regards,
Miguel C.

Hello Miguel,
I was getting an error regarding MeshSettingsCertificate
I located the MeshSettingsCertificate in the Certificate store and deleted them, and now the installer is progressing.

Hello, VeeDub,
I am glad to hear you were able to install EMA. Your comments are essential; I am passing them on to the engineering team; hopefully, the videos will be updated in a few weeks.
