Win 10 Smart Sound Technology - microfone array

Am I here on the right Forum?

Microfone array (2- Intel Smart Sound Technology) nor Realtec audio are working, though driver of Smart Sound Technology is updated to last version 17.10.2022. BTW Smart Sound Technology is listed twice with no difference on the Device Manager.

Thanx in advance for helpful advices.

Hello EURAnalyst,

Thank you for your patience regarding the Intel Smart Sound Technology microphone array issue you've been experiencing. I understand how frustrating it can be when your audio devices aren't working properly, especially when you've already updated to the latest drivers. Your detailed documentation with the screenshots was very helpful in understanding the scope of the issue.

For Faster Resolution, I'd like to offer you a phone consultation to work through this issue more efficiently.

Best regards,

Your proposal, dear Dean, to try and solve this case per phone, is highly appreciated. Before your precious time is used that way, couldn't you recover the old drivers, which appear to have been replaced by problematic new ones on the occasion of the last Windows 10 update, and reinstall them  remotely on my notebook?  The Intel Driver & Support Assistant is installed already on my hp envy. (As the support period of the hp envy has expired, neither hp nor realtek offer an appropriate driver download anymore). BTW The Driver & Support Assistent at the first check found no need of updating audio drivers .

My frustration has meanwhile subsided, after I purchased a small external USB audio device to replace the defective onboard headphone and speaker facilities, which I  only rarely make us of.

Thank you again and best regards
