MAINBOARD DH55TC BIOS UPDATE

My BIOS shows as 12th June 2011. All the research I've done indicates this is the latest. However this is only a year or two after the mobo was first made. I find it hard to believe that nothing newer is available? I am considering a work-from-home PC job that needs a BIOS max 7 years old. Does anyone know how I can find a version from 2013 or later please?

You have an Intel desktop board, but you are in the Intel NUC forum?

Yes, the latest bios is 0048, dated 12 June 2011. Your motherboard was released in Q4 2009.

"job that needs a BIOS max 7 years old" What does this mean, and why?

By the way, the desktop boards forum can be found here:

Sorry I'll copy or move the post. So Intel only updated the BIOS for two years? As regards the job, at the mo I have no idea why they need a BIOS later than 2012 when the PC is fine in all other respects! Won't get an answer from them until Tuesday I suppose 😐

If the bios did not need further updating, then it did not need further updating - plain and simple.

OK Thanks, I'll interrogate the employer and find if this 2013 date is some arbtirary milestone! Obviously there are far more important specs in a computer than it's age.

I might, repeat might, be able to understand a specific generation of the processor, but the bios seems a bit strange. You may want to check if the employer holds meetings in bouncy castles, or something like that.
