Hi all,
RealSense D415 is sometimes recognized as USB2.x device on Windows 10 Pro.
Our use case is,
- Windows 10 Pro (latest updated)
- RealSense D415 (fw: 05.11.15.00 / SDK: 2.29.0 )
- Use long USB3.0 comptibility repeater cable (3.0m)
- Intel NUC NUC8i5BEH
Following URL seems to be described same as this issue,
It's mentioned about workaround only.
I would like to know, How to make RealSense sure to be recognized as USB3.0 device ?
With Best Regards,
shige

Assuming that your USB repeater cable is of a high quality (industrial grade) and not too long (20 meters has been suggested as a maximum for a repeater cable) then the camera may sometimes be mis-identified as USB2 if the USB connector is inserted slowly instead of with a quick and firm insertion motion.

I use RealSense D415 after recognized as USB3.0, and only restart PC.
So, I think it's not caused by the way to insertion.
But, unfortunately, I use no industrial grade repeater.
Do you know any industrial 3.0m repeater as USB3.0 ?

My personal recommendation for a supplier of industrial grade cables for RealSense 400 Series cameras is Newnex. This recommendation is primarily based on their demonstration in video evidence that it works, and the recommendations of RealSense users who have used Newnex cables.
For longer ranges (100 meters +) Newnex also offer a fiber optic solution.

An alternative method to repeaters for long-range use is ethernet networking, such as the 'EtherSense' project created by an Intel RealSense employee.
