I have been hearing recommendations about the 3D modeling software 'RecFusion', which is compatible with the RealSense 400 Series cameras, so I am passing on the recommendation so that others can evaluate it. RealSense user HippoEugDev shared their positive experience of RecFusion here:

Version details and pricing for RecFusion can be found in the link below. HippoEug used the free Single Sensor Scanning version to create a model with the D435 camera and then paid a one-time fee of $99 for the full version to export the model. Although the RecFusion downloads page (below) does not list compatibility with the 400 Series, RecFusion's news page lists that 400 Series support was added in February 2018.
