The documentation link currently points to the general documentation page for Librealsense. This page does not yet have final documentation for the new RealSense SDK 2.0. This will likely become available on this documentation hub page when the cameras are released in October. Until then, you can use this temporary documentation page for SDK 2.0 information.

The data sheet document for the new cameras can be found here:

The data sheet confirms that SDK 2.0 is a new and improved version of Librealsense.

Tell me please. And here for recognition of a large number of gestures to take SR300? Or Intel RealSense Depth Cameras D415 and D435 will contain recognitions of all bones of a brush too? And whether they will work at windows 10?

Unfortunately, no further details about the features and operating system requirements of the D415 and D435 are available publicly yet except for what is on the page that I linked to.

It's September already. Is there any updates regarding D400 series?

I couldn't find them on this page: https://click.intel.com/realsense.html?dir=asc&order=name Intel® RealSense™ Developer Kits but it mentions about promotional info.

No further information yet, unfortunately. I check the information page and the Click store daily, and will make a forum posting as soon as new information is available.

Since the current RealSense store sale lasts til September 30, I wouldn't be surprised if the D-cameras were released on September 30 in order to meet the September launch window by a whisker. I'll keep checking daily though, just in case.

Yes, unfortunately the release of the cameras has been delayed. You can read the initial documentation for the SDK software though.

Do you have CAD files for D-camera by chance?

CAD files are not available yet for the D-csmeras. Intel have produced camera CAD files before though, and users sometimes create their own and release them on model-sharing sites.

I have not been able to find information on the ability of the d400 series to function in dark to low light conditions. Does anyone know how well it functions compared to the Kinect V2

An engineer involved in the development of the new cameras was an author recently in a paper about RealSense cameras. It said about the new models:

"They support the use of unstructured light illumination, as well as additional time-synchronized camera streams. ... Its matching algorithm is a configurable superset of the method used on the R200, producing a significant improvement in results."

There is no release date yet. You can use the Notify Me button on the Click online store to be informed when there is news. There will apparently be a pre-order phase in the store before they are released.

Hi Marty, do you know if RealSense cameras will continue to ship embedded in laptops, or will they only now ship as external cams? Thanks.

The new D415 and D435 cameras are being supplied in caseless 'Module Kit' form for hardware integrators as well as the usual cased cameras, so it is possible that laptop manufacturers could integrate them. I don't know of any plans to do so though.
