The external Interface from the D435i, is it only USB C? If yes can we use a USB type C to Type A cable for interfacing to the processor? Any other interfacing that needs to be done for communication and configuration?

The RealSense 400 Series cameras use USB Type-C (full-size USB A to micro-size C). The full size USB A end plugs into the computing device or USB hub, and the micro-end plugs into the side of the camera. The cable, which is supplied with the camera, is all you need to start using the camera.
