Rate Adaptation in non-VBR mode

In the Intel Media SDK, under Appendix C (Streaming and Video Conferencing Features), it states that:

If application turns off NalHrdConformance option in mfxExtCodingOption structure, all bitrate control modes are available.

However, I notice that this is not true - the SDK rejects bitrate changes when in CBR mode and NalHrdConformance is turned off.

What could I be doing wrong?

Hi,

Please configure to run in VBR mode and NalHrdConformance is turned off. CBR mode is Constant bitrrate  mode. Hence  bitrate is locked in CBR mode. Please refer to manual on detailed information on VBR,CBR modes.

Por favor configurar para rodar em modo VBR e NalHrdConformance está desligado. Modo CBR é o modo bitrrate Constant. Daí o bitrate é bloqueado no modo CBR, depois de verificar e alocar a solução deve funcionar.
