Hello,
I just received my new i7-970. It came with a large heatsink and fan and a small syringe of thermal paste.
My question is about installing the heatsink/fan. The Intel instructions specifically state to deposit the entire syringe-full of thermal paste on the cpu. This amounts to at least a cc of paste. This seems to be a lot more than the "grain of rice" amount that I've seen suggested as the proper amount to be used.
Has anyone had any experience (good or bad) following these instructions?
