Hello,

I use the intel TAT tool read the CPU power. This list contains IA power, GT power, Rest of Package power and Package power. I want to know, what means of IA power? GT power? Rest of package power?  Generally, the Package power= IA power+ GT power+ Rest of Package power.

Hi Kyle_Gu,

Thank you for posting in our Community. I appreciate the clear explanation of what you’re seeing in the Intel TAT tool.

To help me get a better picture of how you're monitoring the system, may I ask a few quick questions?

  1. Which CPU model are you currently using?
  2. What workload or benchmark are you running when observing these power values?
  3. Have you noticed any unexpected behavior, such as unusually high package power, throttling, or performance drops?
  4. Are you using the latest version of Intel TAT, or could you share the version number?

Your answers will help me guide you more accurately and ensure everything is functioning as expected. I’m here to help every step of the way.

Have a nice day!

Best regards,

  1. Which CPU model are you currently using?  Meteor Lake 125H
  2. What workload or benchmark are you running when observing these power values? No workload, only run the OS.
  3. Have you noticed any unexpected behavior, such as unusually high package power, throttling, or performance drops? No.
  4. Are you using the latest version of Intel TAT, or could you share the version number? The TAT buildVersion: 02.01.1007.

And I want to know the  IA power, GT power, Rest of package power, and package power means. I use AI to get this below information.

IA power, is Power for the CPU cores (Performance & Efficient cores)?

GT Power, is Power for the integrated GPU?

Rest of Package Power, is power for essential supporting parts like the memory controller (VTT), System Agent, cache, and other I/O controllers on the chip?

Is it correct?  Thanks a lot!

Hello Kyle_Gu,

Thank you for providing the detailed information and for outlining your questions so clearly. To ensure I provide you with the most accurate and complete explanation, especially regarding the definitions of IA power, GT power, Rest of Package power, and total package power, I’ll need to conduct additional research and verify this information. I will follow up and post an update in this thread as soon as I have more details to share.

Thank you for your patience, and I appreciate your understanding while I look into this further.
