CPU temperatures on the long run

Hi,

I have a Dell laptop with a i5-11300H cpu, and during gaming (f.e. league of legends or cinebench benchmark) it heats up to 90C degree. During normal work/web browsing its like 65-70. My question is, even though its not getting hotter than 100C, can it hurt or do any damage in the hardware on the long run? Or should I turn down the performance so its max temperature like 65C (during heavy load).             I would like to increase the lifetime of the components as much as possible.

(Yes i know, this is not a gaming laptop with a appropiet cooler system. And I know the cooler is better.)

Thanks for your help!

Andras

P.s.: Sorry for my bad English...

If you're heating up to no more than 90c, then you have nothing to worry about. The processor can sustain this temperature for long periods without suffering any degradation.

Now, if you are spending any significant amount of time in the vicinity of 100c, this is more concerning and, if sustained for significant periods of time, can affect its lifetime.
