Hello Joheline,
It appears that you are encountering issues with your CPU, as it reaches 100% usage during gameplay. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I appreciate your initiative in performing some troubleshooting. To assist you effectively, please provide the following information:
1. Is the CPU usage at 100% even when the system is idle? If not, what is the usual CPU usage when the system is on idle?
2. Are you experiencing lag, graphics corruption, or any of the same kind?
3. Was this happening before? If the issue started recently, are there any changes that was made to the system?
4. Kindly share a short video clip of the issue if possible for me to have a wider view.
Additionally, to have a better understanding of your system configuration and components please generate System Support Utility (SSU) report. Please follow instructions here and send the report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*

I look forward to your response.

Hello Joheline,
Thank you for sharing all this information. For further troubleshooting, please try to follow the steps below.
1. Update your BIOS
2. Try to lower the Game settings
3. Check for any overheating
4. Change the power settings to "High Performance"
If the same issue is observed, kindly get Capframe data so we can compare the values that you are getting on our end. Please ensure that you play the game/s for at least 5 minutes.
I hope to hear from you soon.

Feel free to try and blame it on the processor, but I don't think this is the case. To me, it feels like you have some form of processor rendering taking place. In most cases, you should be doing all of this rendering on the graphics card and your operation (especially frame rate) should be bounded by the operation of this graphics card.
Just saying,

I got mail you tell me
Hello Joheline,
I concur with @n_scott_pearson's assessment. Given the severe lag spikes and graphics corruption you've experienced, it's possible that some rendering tasks intended for the GPU are being handled by the processor. Additionally, you mentioned that your CPU usage is at 30-40% while idle, which is unusual. Please check your Task Manager and sort the processes by CPU usage, then take a screenshot. There may be applications or other processes running in the background that are consuming CPU resources and causing these issues.
But i cant see it on reply here, how do i fix rendering tasks intended for the gpu are being handled by the processor?

Hello,
There is a lot to unpack here. I will try to keep it as short and simple as possible. Your situation can be isolated into two categories:
1. High CPU utilization: As already addressed, look/screenshot Task Manager to see which processes are running.
2. GPU issues: Try downgrading the drivers to 466.36. The reason being there is a lot of issues over the last few months with newer drivers and it is definitely worth a try. Before you do this, you must sort out your CPU issues first.
What resolution is your monitor? I will assume you have the 8GB and not the 16GB version of your card? If you have the 8GB version and a monitor larger than 1080p and especially 4k then you have a very limited video frame buffer to work with and you must lower graphic settings in any game that is relatively recent.
This is a huge huge issue with Nvidia not including enough VRAM and that card is truly only intended for a 1080p gameplay experience. It's not your fault, its an nVidia problem. I have the same card with a 1080p monitor on one of my other machines and for that resolution it is mostly fine, although it runs into that VRAM limit pretty closely.
You mentioned the problem started 2 weeks ago... what did you update, download or do that you can remember? And can you clarify that your game lags online and offline? If playing online only games make sure your network is functioning correctly... At risk of making my post too long, I will leave it at that and let you respond and other fourm members come up with ideas too.
Please note: The 12700F does not have integrated graphics.
