As far as memory and such, check with them. It is their laptop.

If you are asking about processor upgrades, we cannot answer this question for you. You *must* ask HP whether the processor is even upgradeable (if it is wave-soldered to the board, for example, it cannot be upgraded) and, if it is upgradeable, what processor upgrades their BIOS will support.
