Hello,
I've recently changed my CPU on my DH87MC, from an intel I5-4670 to an intel I7-4770.
With the i5 the ram was running at maximum speed (1600mhz).
(I am using corsair ddr3 vengeance blue 1600mhz 4gbx4).
When i install the I7 (i've also tried an I7-4770K) the ram speed is locked to 1333 mhz with the same settings in the BIOS.
Even if i force the multiplier it does not change.
I've attached some pictures where there are all the details of the BIOS and some details from memtest86.
Is also weird that memtest86 shows the ram values as 41-41-41-97 (it should be 9-9-9-27 i guess?!)
If i put back the I5 the ram goes back to 1600mhz.
Also windows shows the different speed in the task manager.
Can somebody help me?
Seems like my motherboard refuses to work properly with a I7 but is should be compatible.
Thank you very much,
Federico
