Support for much of the Intel NUC range transitioned to ASUS with the process completing around mid-January 2024. There may have been 2023 BIOS updates that Intel no longer list in the Download Center because newer versions are available from ASUS. The ASUS NUC updates include the full documentation and supporting software issued previously by Intel, and it is important to follow the instructions carefully.

I do not see any warnings in the release notes.

nuc bios files are inclusive, with rare exception.

Actually, BIOS Release Notes are no longer cumulative. While they were under Intel, they are not under Asus (and yes, I have attempted - without success - to get them to change their ways). Bottom line, for TN, for example, my archive retains Release Notes files for BIOS releases 78, 77, 76, and 74 (the last I have from Intel; note that BIOS 75 was released with the Release Notes file from BIOS 74 (this may have been my screwup, IDK)). For TNv, as another example, my archive cleanly contains 78, 77, 76, and 75 (the last from Intel).

Now, to the original question, BIOS updates are always cumulative, but to have to be careful of ME updates being included. Here's my recommendation for what you need to do:

1. Upgrade to BIOS 71 (to enable support for ME Capsule Update). You can attempt to upgrade using the F7 or Windows EBU methods, but, if your current BIOS is very old (say, BIOS 61 or older), I would recommend that you use the BIOS Recovery method to install BIOS 71.
2. Upgrade to BIOS 78 (the latest). Any method will do.

All of these BIOS releases are available on the Asus site.
