I got dual 2687W v3 from a local reseller who claims to have imported from USA. I been using it on linux for the past 10 months and finally installed windows and checked hwinfo and cpuz. it says 2687W v3 Engineering sample. So i send a mail to my reseller and they claim its an OEM tray cpu and asked me to wipe off the thermal paste to see the outside and it says 2687Wv3.

I tried to search the intel database with no luck. how can i confirm this is retail version and not ES??

appreciate your help

thanks

Hello lady or single girl, Amy,

How can you make sure it is misreading with the third-party tools?

Best Regards,
