Have trouble with my Termal Solution RTS2011LC on a ASUS P8Z77-V PRO, Socket-1155 motherboard.

Have trouble with my Termal Solution RTS2011LC on a ASUS P8Z77-V PRO, Socket-1155 motherboard. The I5 CPU shows constant 84C after short time. The MB shows 25C. Even if put computer outside the CPU temperatur stays at 84C when MB drops to 16C. Any suggestions ? (CPU Fan shows constant 2200 RPM, Have put on new termal paste)

A misreading temperature can come from the computer BIOS. Have you tried updating the Bios of motherboard?

Yes have updated Bios but still have same problem.

Have you tried contacting Asus for information about this heat problem?The fan rpm seems to be running ok, I would expect heat issue if the fan spins less than that.Allan
