 i want to buy a new processor for my 775 LGA Socket, does anyone know if this is even possible to upgrade or know a processor that fits?

i've got a intel core 2 duo now.

Not much you can do. You can perhaps add more memory (but limit is 8GB with these old DDR2 boards). You may be able to upgrade to a Core 2 Quad or Core 2 Extreme processor, but it all depends upon what your board will support.

Honestly, it's time to replace the whole mess. You are talking about a system from 2008. Spending any money on it is a waste, IMHO.
