I have a M.2/NVMe installed on motherboard. I want to also use a Portable M.2/NGFF, SSD How?

M.2/NVMe installed on motherboard. I want to ALSO use a Portable M.2/NGFF, SSD.  How?  Disk managers shows SSD but will not format nor change anything.   Are the a Bois or program that will allow Both a M.2/NVMe and a M.2/NGFF to run at the same time?
