You are requesting if you could upgrade your Toshiba Satellite C50-A-1DV, that currently has a i3-3110M and you will like to upgrade to an i7-2720QM.
Both CPU have uses the same Socket, which is a rPGA 988A / B / Socket G1 / G2, but the problem is that the i7 Max TDP is 45 W and the i3 is 35W. And the most important will be the Lithography which is on the i7 32nm and on the i3 22 nm.

Best recommendation will be to check with Toshiba if your motherboard is able to handel the increase on power usage and that you have enough space for the CPU.
