I purchased a laptop that was listed as having Intel® Core™ i7 10-Core Processor i7-1255U (3.5GHz) 12MB Cache. I just received it and the System About says it is 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1255U 1.70 GHz, which seems to be half the speed that I paid for.
Am I missing something?
Thanks

No, you aren't missing anything and no, there's nothing wrong. The base clock is indeed 1.7GHz - but then you have the Turbo Boost capability, which has a Performance Core Max Turbo Frequency of 4.7GHz and an Efficiency Core Max Turbo Frequency of 3.50 GHz.

So, I also bought a similar laptop with these specs as having Intel Core i7 10-Core Processor i7-1255U (3.50/ 4.70GHz) but the device shows 1.70 GHz. Why isn't the website showing the exact same specs? I feel it's false advertising. I got my laptop today and am so disappointed with DELL Technologies South Africa.
