Intel XTU doesn't show appropriate options on 4790K.

Hi, I Just installed the latest version of Intel XTU and it doesn't show options or proper information. It even states that "The platform doesn't support overclocking"

even though I am running a z97 gaming 5 motherboard with i7 4790K?? What could be the problem?

Edit: Installed the previous version (5.x) and it works fine. Seems like this one has compatibility issues. Hardware manufacturers usually make clunky software, I am not surprised.

Bonus information: Installed the intel chipset drivers on z97 motherboard and now I cant even boot into windows 7 64-bit, cmon intel what is this...
