My system doesn't recognise virtualization

Greetings, before I start to explain, here is my config:

  • CPU: i5 4670
  • MB: ASRock Fatal1ty H87 Performance
  • RAM: 16 Gb
  • S.O.: Windows 8.1 Pro

My BIOS shows me that my processor supports intel VT-x and VT-d, and both are enabled.

But on windows, the verification tools show that the processor doesn't support VT-x. How is this possible?

Sorry for my bad english.

Thanks in advance.

As you mentioned, the processor supports VT-x and VT-d but it is also important to confirm the motherboard supports both features.

Based on the motherboard User Guide, it supports VT-d only. Here you can check the information:

ftp://66.226.78.21/manual/Fatal1ty%20H87%20Performance.pdf ftp://66.226.78.21/manual/Fatal1ty%20H87%20Performance.pdf

This is the reason why you are getting the error message but you should not have any problem using VT-d.

Thanks for your answer.

I was trying to build an android environment, then when I try to start the emulator, I get an error.

In a research I've found that maybe I need VT-x to run the emulator.

So my pc is not compatible .. ..

Thanks.

If you are trying to create a virtual machine just with VT-d should work fine. I would recommend you using different software.
