N3150/N3700 HD Audio Passthrough

Hi

I want to know if Intel N3150 and N3700 works with HD Audio Passthrough?

In Baytrail (J1900 and J2900) there was an issue with HD Audio Passthrough on Windows.

Can you confirm if Braswell correct this issue?

something new about a driver fix for this issue please? Where is the problem? New chipset and no simple hdmi audio hd PASSTHROUGH??

HD audio works on the motherboard Asrock N3150-ITX and Asrock N3700-ITX.

Windiws 10-64 system.Playing all - Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD High Resolution and DTS-HD Master Audio.Prveryal video clips and music to the AV receiver Pioneer 922 via HDMI.The AV receiver on a board there are all these formats.Similarly, in the sound driver settings already have all these names.

Cause the link you've listed is a bit "shady" to say the least.

Currently away from home for a few days so I can't check it myself.

Others in the "/message/439698# 439698 How to get NUC5CPYH passthrough DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD Audio?" thread are reporting that it does not work yet with all systems.

Maybe it's something to do with WIN10 vs WIN8.1

So excuse me if I'm trying to gather more information !

Finally managed to remote access my NUC (I'm away from home for few days)

Installed the driver from here:

Ran a few tests and I can confirm that both Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD are being recognized by the AV receiver in passthrough mode!

Well actually, the official statement eg. "reason for beta", often isn't the only fix in a beta. Its not uncommon practice to merge in several (other) fixes is beta releases. This way functions can be tested at a beta stage, and be made available for early adopters. MS driver signing isn't free.

"Select Pentium / Celeron processors with Intel HD Graphics" are mentioned in the release notes, all the way back to 4th gen. Currently running this driver on Win 10 anniversary edition, N3150 - HD (HBR) audio passthrough over HDMI (to Onkyo AVR) is working perfectly. As it is an unsigned beta driver though, I had to deactivate Secure Boot for the driver to load properly.
