Dear all,

i have experienced the follow errors from my computer, it can't access any internet by Wifi, Bluetooth or cable.

I'm looking for driver to install by USB to fix the problem. However, i'm unable to locate any possible diver from Intel and please advise me if any possibility to fix it.

In Device Manager:

- PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller doesn't have a driver
- PCI Simple Communications Controller doesn't have a driver
- Network Controller doesn't have a driver
- SM Bus Controller doesn't have a driver

At the right bottom corner network icon, it could only show the airplane mode button and nothing else.

Much appreciate if anyone could provide with the solution.

Thanks,
Chris

So, the first device is a Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4 Wireless Network Adapter. You will need to get the drivers for this card from Samsung. There are third-party driver sites that you could use to get them but I don't trust them and don't think that you should either; get them from Samsung.

The second device is part of the Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework. In a search, I was pointed to this version of the Intel ME driver package: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28679 and this version of the INF Update package: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29634.

The third device is an ACPI entry. This may resolve with the above packages.

Hope this helps,

Hello ChrisChan,

Thank you for posting on the Intel* Community.

To better assist you, please provide us with the below details:

  • Is there any error message under the network devices on the device manager?
  • Did you integrate the wireless card to your PC or it came included with the Laptop?

Attach the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU)

Best regards,

Maria R.

Dear Maria,

My computer is the Samsung 940X 3K-K01HK notebook, I believe the network card is build-in in the notebook. As before the reinstall the Wifi is working with no problems.

Please find the below screenshot for your reference. I’m using another computer to for the reply at the moment as the Samsung one is totally unable to connect to anything (only by USB).

Thanks,

Chris

You need to install a number of device driver packages to complete the install. Windows 10 is not perfect when it comes to supporting everything. Install these in this order:

  1. Intel Chipset: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29634.
  2. Intel MEI: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28679.
  3. Realtek LAN: https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/category/network-interface-controllers-10-100-1000m-gigabit-ethernet-pci-express-software.
  4. Intel Bluetooth: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/30251.
  5. Intel Wireless: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/30208.
  6. Intel Graphics: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/30196.

Hope this helps,

Dear Scott,

Thanks for your help.

I downloaded all drivers and transfer from another computer by USB, except 1. and 2 unable to install, other with no problem.

1. the program mentioned it is not supporting and unable to install.

2. It failed in the dos screen and advise to try later (which I tried many many times but still the same).

Maybe I just bring it to the computer repair shop to see if they could help...

Thanks again,

Chris

Ok, this means I didn't go back far enough. Try this version of the Chipset Package: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26655 and this version of the MEI Package: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26135.

Hope this helps,

It looks like the problem devices less than before after install all the drivers. However, the MEI unable to download the most update drivers as no internet could be access.

Also, internet is still unable to access by anything...

Thanks again,

Ok, no more guessing. We need real system information. Please download and run the Intel System Support Utility for Windows. Select all data categories, generate the report and then have the tool Save the report to a file. Don't try to use the Submit capability; it doesn't work. Finally, using the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach dialog below the edit box for the body of your response post, upload and attach this file to the response post.

According to the report, you should have a working Ethernet port and supporting driver and should be able to connect to your router via Ethernet cable. As for Wireless, I am not seeing a wireless device. I have a feeling that you have a non-Intel wireless solution, but the Samsung site doesn't indicate what it actually is. Do you still have an unknown device? Click on it and get us the PCI ID information for it.

Dear Scott,

Another problem for my Samsung notebook, it required an adapter (Mini Ethernet) to connect to the Ethernet port which is hard to find...

I tried to use the iPhone as the Personal Hotspot to share the internet by USB but it didn't work out... Or I could buy a USB Wifi stick to give it a try (not sure if it works)?

With best regards,

Chris
