Pentium 4 upgrade

I am wondering if the following can be done. I have a Dell Dimension 8400 with a Pentium 4 550 CPU (3.40 GHZ). The desktop is HT capable and 32-bit capable. I would like to upgrade the processor to 64-bit. The socket is LGA 775 (0x4). I am not sure if any other relevant information is required. I would appreciate for any comments and/or advise.

I found this great tool here and used it to work out where to start

Obviously start by putting in your pin count you said 775 and then get around to other sites to see what is selling (the more expensive the more popular or useful). Your manufacturer should be able to help you refine your list some more. The more you look or research the better your end result. Happy searching
