WHEA Logger error after CPU upgrade

Hello, recently I upgraded to a 12400f and I've been getting random crashes at random intervals sometimes even multiples times a day. So upon checking with Event Viewer it seems that I've been getting the error, WHEA Logger Event ID-1 and until recently the WHEA Logger Event ID-19. I've tried updating the BIOS, re-installing Windows, tried re-installing all the necessary drivers for GPU and Mobo.

I've tried stress testing all my components to sorta get an idea as to what is the problem but all the stress tests have passed.

My specs: CPU- i5 12400f

GPU- 1050 Ti

Mobo- Asus Prime B660 A-D4

RAM- TeamGroup T-Force Vulcan Z 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz

The error message reads:

Event 19, WHEA Logger

A corrected hardware error has occurred.

Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Corrected Machine Check
Error Type: Internal parity error
Processor APIC ID: 10

Event 1, WHEA Logger

A fatal hardware error has occurred.

I've also atttached XML files from Event Viewer.

Hello NR95,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

Since the issue started after a recent CPU upgrade to 12400f, I would like to know more about your system details, including firmware and drivers installed, since you've mentioned that you have tried reinstalling the operating system as well as updating the BIOS. This could be possible by downloading Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software. When the download is complete, launch SSU.exe.

  1. Scan: Check the box Everything.
  2. Click Scan.
  3. Review: When finished scanning, click Next.
  4. Click Save (.txt file).

Please also share what your previous CPU model was and if it had been working fine before the upgrade. Additionally, please download and run Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool (IPDT), so we can fully check if the issue is being caused by a faulty unit. Kindly check the user guide here. Share a screenshot of the results and the log file (.txt).

I will wait for your reply.

Best regards,

JeanetteC.
