When is the voltage no longer safe?

I am currently running a 6600k at 4.98GHz with the voltage at 1.515v and getting a load temp of 65c. I want to try and get to 5GHz but at 1.52v it is still unstable (almost there though). So I am wondering what is a safe voltage? If my temps are still good how high can I take it? Is there a point where I just shouldn't pass?

Hi ThePromisedLAN,

 

 

Intel recommends increasing the processor multiplier if you want to overclock the processor and leave voltage and current automatic.

 

 

It is safer to use Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility for overclocking purposes.
