Which chip is in the computer?

As intel contact us did not understand this simple question, i am hoping you folks can. When i buy a windows 10 computer how do i know which version of the i9 chip is installed? 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-11900 processor (8-Core, 16M Cache, 2.5GHz to 5.2GHz) Or 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-11900K processor (8-Core, 16M Cache, 3.5GHz to 5.3GHz) Thanks all

Hi @Anon125 

1. Right click on Windows start icon and then on System. In System>About you will see your CPU.

or

2. Right click on Windows start icon and then Run. Run msinfo32 and you will see your CPU.

You can run CPU-Z

or you can run HWiNFO

or you can look in the bios

or you can START, SETTINGS, SYSTEM, ABOUT

or you can START, RUN, MSINFO32

or you can look at the specs for your device model number

or you can ask the device manufacturer

or (extreme) open the box, remove the cooler, wipe off the paste, and look at the top of the processor

etc, etc, etc.

Going into System or Bios is the easiest ... in my opinion it's better not to download freeware unless you have to!

Would msinfo32 work?

Dont know how to look in system or bios!
