Windows 11 Pro 24H2 update decreased CPU performance compared to 23H2 on Intel 13th/14th gen

After updating my Windows 11 Pro from 23H2 to 24H2 I found big decrease in performance especially in multithreaded performance.

All drivers, BIOS settings, programs, settings - all same, just after installing this update I have big drop in CPU performance.

Geekbench 5 and 6 scores in attachment - with 23H2 and 24H2...

If someone have Intel 13th/14th generation CPU and could check if other people with Intel CPUs have same negative impact?

Can this be forwarded to Intel and Windows tech team for inspection as well please?

Considering that 24H2 is riddled with bugs I'm not surprised. It has the registry corruption "sfc /scannow errors" and disk clean is not deleting 8GB of data, on top of the cpu performance issues.

I would at least wait until it's complete.

Hi,

I went back to Windows 11 24H2 26100.1150 and my Benchmarks were all OK - Any version after that showed lower CPU performance.

I noticed while testing that  Windows 11 26100.1150 was using P-Cores Ok but in later versions E-Cores were being used instead of P-Cores hence the lower performance.

It look like whatever controls the P-Cores and E-Cores it working the wrong way round.

Wow, this is insane.. Just using the XTU benchmark I went from 15000 points to 14000 points..  Thats 5% right there. What the hell is going on at microsoft? We get processors that eat themselves to death and windows "updates" that keep making our systems run worse and worse? I'm so sick of this. I've lost over 10% of my performance since I first installed windows 11 with all this blotware update nonsense. I wish I had stayed with 10.. 11 is trash.
