Your motherboard will have an XMP option in the BIOS. XMP is Intel® Extreme Memory Profile. By default this option is set to DISABLED, setting it to ENABLED will allow faster memory speeds than standard. This will for example allow CUDIMM DD5 to run at 8000+ ram speeds.

You should look at gigabyte's qualified/tested hardware for their board.

Thanks for the reply !
I understand that XMP is overclocking of memory and it increase risk of its demage and shorten lifespan - i can live with it but doas it additionally lead to shorter lifespan of cpu and other components?

I have run Intel motherboards for year with XMP enabled without any issues.

I have Kingston Renegade Fury 8400m/t CUDIMM RAM, and get the rated speed on XMP Tweaked on the Asus Z890 Strix Gaming Wi-Fi F Motherboard, I would imagine the same would apply for your Gigabyte Board
