Hi, mi name is Francisco from Nicaragua
I've got an Intel i3 6100 and I read in the specs that its maximum temperature allowed at the processor Integrated Heat Spreader (tcase) is 65°C, so here is the thing, when I play (using the igpu btw) it hits 77°C so these are my questions
1) Is there any reason to worry about my cpu hitting 77°C?
2) Why the cpu start the thermal throttling at 100°C? Shouldn't be before?
Thank you guys in advance!

Hello FrankDZ,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I am sorry to know that you are having issues with your Intel® Core™ i3-6100 Processor.
In this case, this temperature (100°C) was agreed upon by the engineers since this is the maximum temperature before the CPU starts failing.
Any temperature under 100°C is expected and as long as the CPU is not stocked on high temperatures for long periods of time, there is nothing to worry about.
I recommend your check the thermal paste, check the cooling solution, or get in contact with the manufacturer (if is a laptop) for further instructions.
You can check the following article in case you face any errors or crashes with the unit:
If you have any questions, just let me know.

Hello FrankDZ,
I was checking your thread and see that we have not heard back from you. I’m going to close your post, but if you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to create a new thread.
I recommend you check with the computer manufacturer to confirm any setting in the BIOS that can help to decrease the CPU temperatures.
