i5-2500K Test Problem

Hi,

ich hab mir vor ein paar Tagen folgendes System neu zusammen gebaut:

- Intel i5-2500K Boxed

- Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3 Rev 1.1 (BIOS F2 - gibt bis jetzt keine neuere Version)

- 4GB Kit DDR3 (2x OCZ3RPR2000LV2GK ) @1866MHz

Das sitzt zusammen mit

- Zalman 550Watt Netzteil

- Gigabyte GV-N460OC-1GI

- Creative Soundblaster x-Fi

- Sata-HDD und DVD-Brenner

Das System ist frisch installiert mit Windows 7 x64 SP1 und aktuellen Treibern. Leider läuft es nicht stabil.

Ich habe ich den Speicher 7 Stunden lang mit einer Boot-CD -> Memtest86+ 4.20 schuften lassen - kein Fehler!

Bis auf die eindeutige Erkennung der Taktfrequenzen, was ich aber auf falsches Auslesen seitens des Tools zurückführe da es zwar nur 94MHz BUStakt und 1,7GHz Ramtakt anzeigt, aber die CPU weiter mit 3,3 GHz anzeigt ... müsste ja weniger sein.

Jedenfalls sind die Werte im BIOS richtig eingestellt da dort 100MHz angezeigt wird und ich ohnehin keine Einstellmöglichkeit für den BUS gefunden habe.

Wie schon in einer anderen Diskussion "i7-2600 ...test failure" oder so gelesen, habe ich das gleiche Problem mit meiner CPU.

Das "Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool" Version 1.1.0.0-3-6 für Windows 7x64 erzählt mir folgendes:

Den unwesentlichen Teil entfernt und den "interessanten" Teil rot eingefärbt kommt das so aus dem Bericht ...

Wenn ich den Baseclocktest in der Config entferne, besteht der Prozessor alle anderen Tests.

Da nicht nur der Intel Test rummeckert sondern z.B. auch Prime95 meißt nur 1-2 der 4 "workers" am Laufen hat, weil die anderen wegen Fehler unterbrechen und ich in z.B. "X3 Terran Conflict" (=ein sehr CPU-lastiges Spiel) Stabilitätsprobleme habe frage ich mich eben, was das sein kann.

Mal abgesehen von den 3 oben genannten neuen Teilen lief der Rest des Systems stets makellos ohne Stabilitätsprobleme.

Da ich den Ram erfolgreich getestet habe gehe ich davon aus, dass das Problem entweder auf dem Board oder an der CPU liegt.

Das Problem scheint es auch mit anderen P67 Boards anderer Hersteller zu geben. Ich vermute also dass entweder der Chipsatz auch in der Revision B3 noch nicht ganz sauber ist oder am Prozessor was faul ist.

Vielleicht hat wer nen Tip was ich tun kann

because my opened thread is the only one without answers i'll do my best in english. I'm Sorry for coming mistakes - my english is only from school, about 15 years ago.

a few days ago i built my new Computer with these three new parts:

- Intel i5-2500K Boxed

- Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3 Rev 1.1 (BIOS F2 - no newer Version available)

- 4GB Kit DDR3 (2x OCZ3RPR2000LV2GK ) @1866MHz

also in this Computer and surely running

- Zalman 550Watt Puwersupply

- Gigabyte GV-N460OC-1GI

- Creative Soundblaster x-Fi

- Sata2-HDD & DVD-RW

The OS (Windows 7 SP1 x64) is new installed. Just with needed drivers from original-discs delivered with my hardware. Also tested with actual drivers from manufactorer Sites - No difference. Just almost stable.

I tested the Ram for about 7 hours with a bootdisc "Memtest86+ 4.2". No failure!

It showed me a wrong BUS-frequency (94MHz and Ram about 1,7GHz) but full 3,3GHz at the CPU. So the 94MHz BUS seems to be not real.

In BIOS the correct frequency (100MHz) is shown - haven't found a way to change that anyway. As seen in another thread here "i7-2600 ... test failure" may i have the same problem with my CPU / Chipset.The "Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool" v1.1.0.0-3-6 for Windows 7x64 tells me:______________________________________________________________________________________________

The test runs through all "Passed" if i remove the Base-clock-test.

Rest of my posting was handling stability-problems (bluescreens, freezes) wich don't exist any longer.

Problem was the Ram-Voltage. Seems that my Ram isn't JEDEC-confirm so it got 1,5Volts from BIOS. In manufacturers product-description online i saw, this Ram needs 1,65Volts - changed the value in BIOS now system is running stable.

But there still is that Base-clock-error from the Intel-tool.perhaps someone can helpX2return
