intel extreme tuning utility (xtu)

Hi

I am having problems with xtu. I have installed it. I have a i7 12700K chip with a msi z690 pro A motherboard, DDR4 RAM. When I launch xtu I get a splash screen for a while (about 20 seconds) and then it unexpectedly  closes. No messages of any kind, just closes with me doing nothing. I have tried everything on the net; got the latest version, 7.9.0.24 using windows 10, 21H2Can someone help?

In order to better assist you, please provide the following:  

1. Do you have any other overclocking tool installed?

2. Did the Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel® XTU) work before with this processor or it never worked?

3. Have you tried reinstallation the tool?

Hi,
Thanks for your email. Yes, I did solve my problem. It was my antivirus software. I removed all my antivirus software and then xtu ran correctly. I think this info should be generally made available to all on the internet. It gave a headache and I did not find this info anywhere!!
