laptop cpu replacement

I have a Dell Inspiron 1150 with a Celeron 2.66 ghz, 400mhz. I have read that it would improve performance to replace it with a P4. Is this true? Would a P4 2.66 ghz, 533 mhz work better or cause problems? (It's cheaper)

Unfortunately Intel(R) does not have information regarding systems from other manufacturers.

We would recommend you to contact the computer manufacturer for accurate information about compatible processors for your system.
