msvcp140.dll downgraded by Intel Computing Improvement Program update

I have Intel Computing Improvement Program installed.
Recently, Intel Computing Improvement Program was automatically updated to version 2.4.10910 and at the same time msvcp140.dll (C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSVCP140.dll) was downgraded to 14.29.30133.0.

Because of this, some of my applications no longer work.
Is there anything I can do about this?

Hello K_Mukuriya,

Thank you for reaching out. To resolve this, it is recommended to locate Intel CIP in the Control Panel under Programs and uninstall it. This action will remove the associated .exe files and dll's preventing the Intel CIP service from running and stopping it.

For more information, please see the following link:

If you are still unable to use some of your applications given that the recommended step was done, kindly let me know so that I may further assist you.

Hi Robbie R.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried uninstalling Intel CIP.
However, the version of msvcp140.dll (C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSVCP140.dll) remained at 14.29.30133.0.
As a result, applications that use msvcp140.dll did not work, and the problem was not resolved.

Since msvcp140.dll is a Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable file, I downloaded and installed vc_redist.x64.exe from the following page and updated msvcp140.dll to the latest version, which resolved the issue.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170

Thank you
