After installing Nios II IDE 1.1 evaluation version, I cannot find the MicroC/OS-II. So, where can I install it?

Thanks,

Neo

The evaluation version of the kit doesn't contain uCOS-II.

This is because you need to buy a development licence in order to use it (the price of the licence is included in the full kit).

Hi All,

what is the license policy for uC/OS II included with NIOS2 dev kit?

I mean, If I buy an NIOS II dev kit, is it free (i.e no royalties on all generated binaries) to use uC/OS II for commercial application ?

hi,

The MicroC/OS-II,they have provided with the Nios II kit is for educational purposes only,u cannot make a commertial product with it.To make ur own product,u have to obtain a license,MicroC is not an open source RTOS.If u want to make ur own product,it is better to use uClinux to develope ur application, since uClinux is open -source,freely available and can be ported to Nios II.

bye

If you develop a commercial application with uC/OS-II, you need to obtain a license from Micrium. The license is NOT free. In fact, each different product that embeds uC/OS-II (assuming a single CPU) requires a different license.

uC/OS-II is included for FREE for development purposes ONLY.

Thanx a lot.

One more question. How much the uC/OSII for NIOS2 license costs?

Regards.
