You could download the microtronix distribution and read the read-me files included there. They have a simple step-by-step tutorial which will have you running uCLinux in less then an hour!

thanks for the reply,

Got thr microtronics distribution

I am following the Linux Quick Start Guide

Creating Linux Kernel Project

In IDE while creating new project (say) kernel_first

after selecting proper ptf (I have tried with 1C20 and 1S40)

when I click on Finish in New Project Wizard

it gives error:

Project cannot be created

Reason:

Resource /kernel_first/build/arch/nios2nommu does not exist

How to resolve this?Whats the reason for this error?

Thanks and Regards

It looks like you haven't installed the uClinux plugin correctly.

Note that installing the plugin in a directory with a space in its name (e.g. c:\program files\ucLinux) doesn't generate errors while installing, but does when you're trying to use it...

Looks like version issue:

I am trying with Nios II Destribution 1.4 which supports Nios II 5.0 IDE
