Modelsim ASE integration with Quartus (Linux)

Hi, I've installed the Linux web starter kit and modelsim ASE. I can't get the Quartus software to compile designs for RTL simulation.

Steps taken in Quartus:

1. Tools->Launch EDA simulation library compiler

2. Choose Tool name->Modelsim

3. Browse to executable location for tool

Step 3 is the place where everything breaks. Regardless of which directory I browse to under my modelsim ASE installation (bin, linux) I get the red error message under the box that says specify the "simulation tool executable location". If I fill out the rest of the dialog boxes and try to proceed, I get a popup that says the same thing :mad:

You should browse to a directory which contains the file 'vsim'. That should be modelsim_ase/linuxaloem.

Well, I gave up on quartus integration. I'm able to run Modelsim ASE from the command line. Currently trying to figure out how to stop it complaining about missing .hex files
