Hi, 

 

I have downloaded the NiosII linux port for the altera dev boards, Im wondering where you get the 

actuall hardware project that this SW runs on..!

Microtronix has ported the uClinux for three kinds of boards. The ciclone and stratix Altera´s develop. kit and it´s own dk. But remember that you have to recompile the kernel for the particular board you are using. 

 

You can obtain the full schematics of the ciclone and stratix dk at the altera´s site.

What I ment was.. what HW configuration do you use..?

Be on the safe side and use a hardware design that uses the "f" core and the biggest surround hardware logic (would have everything, but might be overkill). 

 

That&#39;s the best answer I can give since I&#39;ve never seen one of these kits before.

It could be the same of the ones that came with the development kit, standart ou full version, VHDL or Verilog, whatever.
