In the pio_showhex.c there is an# include "excalibur.h". As the excalibur.h is mentioned in the documentation for the nios, where can I find this file? I have had the explorer search for it - nothing.

Is this file not directly accessable by the user?

In one part of the documention it says the excalibur.h file makes the hardware access easier.

How do the nios.h, excalibur.h and the avalon modules interact?

Thanks in advance.

Which version of Nios do you use? Nios or Nios II?

excalibur.h is used for nios.

Well excalibur.h is a nios 1 file which is not used for Nios II. See the application note an350.pdf on upgrading from Nios to Nios II.
