how to learn uClinux

Hello everyone: 

 I am a new learner of uClinux, now I know the basic steps to run uClinux on nios system. I still want to learn more about it, especially how to write applications and makefiles, but I feel the information and documents are insufficient(Altera provide software developer handbook, I think it is very useful, but I didn't find similar documents about uClinux), so I hope you can help me.   Anyone who can provide some guidance or information, or experience how you learned when you were a fresher, i will be appreciated.   Look forward to your reply, thanks very much!

good sources are:  

...this forum ...NiosWiki ...uClinux.org ...the Microtronix distrobution with all the programs and docs....  and google :-)  well if someone else knows more feel free to complete the list.

Can anyone provide some specific information or documents about how to write makefile?
