Hey there, i'm trying to undervolt my 14900K with Asus Z790-E Gaming WiFi II MOBO, when i start Intel XTU, on advanced view it says my Watchdog does not work (False). So if i undervolt my CPU, then save and apply the settings for future restarts Watchdog need to be on working which is needed to on Settings tab. How can i fix this? Is there any manual way to do that? Thanks.

Hi, jrexlol.

Thank you for posting in our Community and uploading an image that shows the issue. Let me help you with that. Some users with an ASUS* motherboard combined with an unlocked processor may be unable to restore profile settings after reboot. This is because the Intel® Watchdog Timer Driver (Intel® WDT Driver) is not present in Intel® XTU. Intel® WDT Driver is responsible for the automatic Restore tuning after reboot settings. Under Intel® XTU System Information, find the Watchdog section and confirm Watchdog Present shows False. False means the Watchdog is not detected within the system, and the Intel® XTU user will have to manually restore settings/profiles after reboot.

Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel® XTU) does not restore tuning after reboot. User profiles are not restored automatically and have to be set up manually every time after reboot. The Restore tuning after reboot checkbox in the Intel® XTU settings (under Advanced Options) is grayed out. You may visit this link/article: (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000093073/processors/processor-utilities-and-programs.html), where you can find the manual way to do that.
