Upgraded my Cpu from I3-3210 to I5-3230. Bios keeps reading it as I3-3210. System boots and runs. How do I fix this?
Windows 10 Home, PT10F UMA MB V2.1(HM76 GPU)

Did you check first to see if the bios actually supported the new CPU?
You will need to consult with the motherboard/system manufacturerer to determine which cpus are supported.
Or, the new processor is faulty.

Thanks for the reply Doc.
Yes, I did do my homework before starting or spending money.
My original MB (H00061920 HM70) would not accept a much larger CPU, so it has been upgraded too (H000061930 HM76), the replacement MB had been running an i3-3210m.
Acting on the advice of a knowledgeable friend.
I stripped out the i5-3230, and mounted my original Celeron 1005m, loose build, boot to DOS. The PC read that CPU perfectly, then started Windows no issues.
Shut down and reversed the process. Boot to DOS, and the PC now reads i5-3230m. Windows start up, no issues.
I consider this a satisfactory conclusion to my dilemma.
