CONFUSED WITH TEMPERATURES

Hi! Take greetings from a new member!

Upgraded my pc yesterday with core i3-10100 and asus ex-b460m-v5 motherboard. Idle temp is 40-42 degrees celcius. But I am getting 69-74 degrees celcius temp while playing games like Rainbow Six Siege. Temp is usually staying in 71-73 degrees celsius but it doesn't going high above 75. My cpu usage is 70%-85% and my GT 1030 gpu usage is 100%. I need some opinions regarding my cpu temps from experts in this forum. I want to know if it is normal while playing games. I am also using 2 sticks of 8gb ddr4 2400mhz ram. THANKS YOU!

m0dassir, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

In reference to your question about the temperature of the Intel® processor, those are actually perfectly fine results. It is important to mention that the temperature of the processor fluctuates depending on the tasks being performed especially when playing games. Keep in mind that the performance will depend on the game specifications and your whole hardware configuration. Games are usually GPU intensive so the fact that you are using a video card is a very good selection.

The T-junction of the Intel® Core™ i3-10100 processor is 100°C, any temperature result below or equal to that value is considered normal and expected for this unit.

The memory RAM that you are using is fully compatible with the processor since it supports up to DDR4-2666MHz:

In the following link, you will find additional details about overheating while using an Intel® processor:https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005791/processors/intel-core-processors.html

We also recommend to get in contact directly with ASUS to make sure the latest BIOS version is currently installed on your motherboard or, if necessary, to gather the instructions on how to update it:

Any questions, please let me know.
