Hi there,
I a trying to build an HPC rig, so that I can experiment with Xeon Phi 7250. I have decided to buy a new motherboard - dual LGA3647 and install in the first socket a regular Xeon Platinum (8160) and put the Xeon Phi in the second socket.
Do you think this is possible and will be working if I use MS Server 2019 (to utilize all the cores of Xeon Platinum) and Intel Parallel Studio?
Or is such configuration NOT ADVISABLE, because it is not Symmetrical e.g. CPU 1 is Xeon Platinum while CPU 2 is Xeon Phi 7250 ?
Any advice and / or comments are highly appreciated as my experience with Phi is zero :).

Counterpoint - You could use one of the PCI 2nd Gen Xeon Phi as well. They're pretty good. The first Gen are good too, but you need to do a ton of research and programming and troubleshooting and get a fan and earmuffs for the noise from the fans!
