Core 2 quad q6600 heatup

my core 2 quad q6600 is at 82 degree Celsius (core-temp) under full load....... is it OK or not?.....if it is not OK than what should i do? (how much temp can cause damage?)

This processor is from 2007.  For something this OLD, change the thermal paste.

Make sure the cpu and case fans are working.

Blow out the cpu heatsink.

Make sure you have adequate ventilation.

No, not necessary. This is a perfectly normal and expected temperature to see when the system is under full load.
